So how can anyone look at the Challenger and say big horsepower numbers don't help sell cars? The majority of people looking at these cars don't care what the Ring time is. They do care about 797 horsepower though.

I think there’s way more to Charger/Challenger sales than HP.

1. Cost/Ability to bring home
2. Power
3. Looks
4. Liveability

Likely that order.

Your statement would be true but for the fact the majority of Challenger sales are not the 707hp+ variants.

If GM continues to sell approximately 50,000 Camaros per year at a reasonable profit, I'm optimistic that it won't be discontinued any time soon. *Fingers Crossed*

Some people just love to doom the Camaro because Mustang and Challengers are seling more cars - But things like profit per car, what trims people actually buy, etc are much more important than who is ahead in the plain numbers.

I think about 50k Camaro is still a good number. It's more than any Cadillac model.

As mentioned in a lot of other topics, Chevrolet just need to rethink their advertisement methods. Ford and Dodge are throwing out Mustang and Challenger videos like every few months (and I don't mean tv spots, but overall being present on media with new videos and small news). Chevy is just like "Here's our new car, if somebody actually want to buy it they will find out by themself".

But his assessment is correct. The top of the line model is never going to be the best seller, however IT is what brings people to the table to buy the cheaper model that 'looks' similar.

2018 was a short production run for Corvette. The plant was shut down for months while they built their new paint facility.

Most challengers sold are the "Brotherhood of muscle's 300hp v6"
then the RT. Most of those numbers are not SRT and Scat Packs.
