The CTek MULTI US 3300 is what comes up as a Camaro charger at West Coast Camaros. It is a 4-step 2Ah-90Ah and has several modes including AGM. Can anyone recommend this or another model?
Thanks

The Camaro uses a AGM battery, it is made by Johnson Controls. The same company that makes the Optima Red Top brand batteries.

You will need a multi use charger, most of them will cover flooded cell, AGM and deep cycle. Make sure you use the right mode, using the wrong mode will kill a AGM battery.

If the included GM battery charger does not say it can charge a AGM battery then dont use it, take it back to the dealer and have them open a case with the GM TAC line. This is not the first time Gm has sent the wrong accessories with a vehicle. My 2014 truck had accessories on it from the factory, they didnt fit. I was one of the 1st customers to complain to GM about it. Took them about 3-6 months to correct it and get the right accessories out to the customers and to correct the manufacturing process.

If it is any harder than this it is because you as the owner is making it harder.

Also, just use the front charging post. You can only get to the rear Negative post thru the access panel in the passenger side felt cover. If you want to get to the charging posts for both sides you will need to pull the felt panel open and out of the way.
This one is not the camaro one that came with the car. It is the ctek 3300. Same one but doesn't have the camaro name on it ,from Amazon. So your saying either mode button car or cold weather is fine?

So where do I find this mystical charger that came with our cars? Is it supposed to be in the foam cutout in the trunk above the compressor kit? Looks like a spot for one, but mine's empty. Guess that's what happens when the car sits in the showroom for 3 months.

Did you order the option charger? That is how you get it.

OK, thanks. I bought it off the showroom floor. I don't recall seeing it on the window sticker. Probably wasn't ordered with it. I'll have to look at the build sheet to make sure.

Yeah, not a standard part. Your dealer can get you one, or you can order from ThatGMPartsGuy.com

My Tender "leads" are connected to the Posts under the hood. In the warm summer, the car has sat for 2+ weeks with no Tender attached, and has started fine. However, when I place it in Winter Storage, I connect the Tender right away and leave it plugged in until the Spring. I do the same with my Harley and have never had an issue in 20+ years........

I ordered a Ctek 3300 from amazon since my present tender I got in 2008 doesn't have a mode setting for AGM batteries. Thanks!

Can one of you guys who ordered the battery tender with you car confirm whether or not it goes in this space circled in the trunk? It is a question in another thread.

If you want you can leave the tender there but that's not how it comes from the factory if ordered with the car. Chevy/Camaro tender comes with a storage pouch that you can keep wherever you wish.

I’m surprised some of you guys dick around with the battery in the trunk when you can just hook up a battery tender to the connections under the hood. Unless, could there be any problems hooking it up that way ??

There is no problem using the terminals under the hood.
