Does anyone know the dwell spec for the stock ignition coils?

These coils seem like a good retrofit option for my Nissan SR20DET. I bought a set off ebay and am going to wire them in. I have an aftermarket ECU, so I can adjust the dwell on them. My stock coils are at about 2ms. I know LS coils are near 5 ms.

Is this known on these coils?

Thank you.

Taken directly from hptuners, off a stock tune. there are some additional multiplier tables, etc, but this should get you going. times are in MS

That's exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.

I'm just going to write up what I did because it will help me think it through.

My ECU isn't nearly as sophisticated as modern stuff. The serial number on it says it was made in 1997.

It has dwell in terms of crank angle, and only has six RPM points to set the dwell(angle) to RPM curve: 480, 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, 10000. It also has then has voltage corrections for 8v, 9v, 10v, 12v, 14v, 16v.

In other words, it's not a whole 2D map. In order to get the number for my ECU I did the following.

I interpolated the values for the RPM points I have to work with at the voltage corrections. I also did it for 13v.

Then for each RPM point I found the correction against 13v. Then took a weighted average in order to determine my corrections.

The dwell table looks like this

RPM Angle
480 12
1000 26
2000 51
4000 96
8000 155
10000 182

the Voltage correction able looks like this

V CF
8 1.733
9 1.615
10 1.494
12 1.099
14 .901
16 .759

so yeah, that's what the huge table gets compressed down to. lol

Not megasquirt, I am using an Apexi Power FC. It's what came with the car. Going forward if I need a new ECU, I'll probably use a Link ECU.

Does anyone know what the wiring for these coils is?

Based on the wiring in harness that came with the coils I got, that's what I have worked out. Is the Blue lead in my image the signal ground? I know it gets spliced to the equivalent wire on at least three of the other coils. or is it some return signal to the ECU?

If anyone could confirm my diagram, that would be great.

Np, and thank you, your car looks great as well. Always had a soft spot for those (and the SR20DET in particular) even though Im a die hard GM guy.
