Is it the end of my stock tires?

5/10/17 update - see post #22

After 4 events (8 days) and 10,000 miles the outer shoulders of my front tires is running/ran out ( yes, I just got a new alignment to help with this problem in the future).
The center tread still has 30-40% life. Would you run these front tires another track weekend?

hard to tell from these pictures. Are you referring to that gummy surface on outer edges? If so it happens after a few sessions on a new tire and I wouldn't worry about it
What is the current alignment specs? Have you noticed abnormal wear on outer edges?

Due to running stock alignment, the outer edge is completely worn out/bald (no more tread blocks. I've just adjusted my front alignment to -2.2

I replaced mine when they looked like that (possibly a little earlier actually) for exactly that reason: didn't want to pay for a track day, and find out 1/2 way through I didn't have enough tire to finish the day.

As for "flipping the tires", I'm pretty sure we can't do that. I believe the "outside" of the tire is labeled as such.

Yup you are correct, right under the treadwear rating it should say OUTSIDE.

oops forgot they are asymmetric, in that case, I would just keep running them until they're corded. But keep a close eye on them.

It's just me, but i wouldn't run those again. Besides, when you are racing, you want to have confidence in your car, not thinking if a tire will blow or not. Again, that's just what I would do. Good luck!

My driver side tires are starting to look like that even with track alignment. I'll be rotating tires side to side before my next event seeing that most tracks are more abusive to driver side tires. My tires have about 2,500 miles on them. I will get NO WHERE near 10,000 miles on mine.

Also, as FYI, these Goodyear's are not run-flat tires.
