Yep... I got my AC Delco filter for $6.00 on Amazon, I printed off the Walmart ad and Oreillys matched the price $23.00 5qt. container for Mobil 1 5w30.

Looking at around $60.00 and about 30mins.

Ramps will indeed pay for themselves quickly.
But if you are worried about them scooting, or rubbing your front spoiler or bodywork, you might wish to invest in a pair of inexpensive floor jacks.
Then make or buy jack point adapters (for the pinch welds) and buy a pair of virtually any jack stands (preferably 1.5+ ton capacity) as safety backups.

Total investment- Likely less than you paid for the oil change if you buy the jacks and stands on sale and make your own adapters.
There is a lot of information out there on how to make your own adapters using hand tools and hockey pucks or chunks of metal.
I am not sure I would trust wood for this, but some people have used it.
Do not use bottle jacks though, as they can easily slip off the jack points.

Any input on doing own changes are considered
Since you asked-
Using the jack point adapters and jacks, raise the front end evenly into the air in a couple of passes.
Don't lift one side all the way then the other.
Then insert the jack stands pretty much anywhere up front along the frame rails that they will fit.
They are only there to take the weight if a jack lets go.
Do your oil drain and filter install.
Lower it all down, add oil and you are good to go.
Very quick and easy to do if you have the equipment and then of course you have the equipment available for other future jobs.

I have done oil changes pretty much this way for a long time and worked in a filling station way back when I was 14 doing among other things- oil changes.
We often used floor jacks even back then for oil changes because the lift bay was typically occupied with other jobs.

You can buy motor oil in bulk. They sell 5 quart jugs, 5 gallon drums, 6 gallon boxes, even 55 gallon drums. The dealer and oil change shops buy 55 gallon drums and pay less than $5 a quart even for the full syn. If you know someone with an account with Napa or another auto parts supplier you can get a decent price.

My rear end still hurts. I will look up the info. I was also told GM has a bulletin on a module for the keyless entry. My car won't start, unless the FOB is in the cup holder

doubtful. considering 1LE average time of ownership, 2 oil changes a year saving $40 each time, it would take 3-4 years to recoup that money. and lets be honest, odds are... the car will be long gone by then and the owner will have already purchased a camry or volt or something.

Trust me bro I am far from supporting the Chinese or Japs. If that comment was meant for me. I am not a tree hugger to purchase a Boot. I rather delete all my cats and put on LTH's, but my liberal governor says no.

As others have stated, if this is the new Mobil1 0W-40, it's not cheap but no reaming has taken place. My last oil change at the dealership cost $104 and I'm sure they made practically zero money on it, the labor fee they charged was $12.50...

I am not sure what the weight of the oil was. They kept the RO for the warranty on the module. I will call them in the morning.
