fuse 51 has nothing to due with the AFM valves. That fuse is for the NPP valves.

So I got under the car with a cutter and tools ready and I was about to cut near the valve and pull the whole muffler side out so I could get to the AFM valve and try to epoxy it outside of the car, but then I decided against it. There is just not enough room to cut and have enough pipe to put a clamp back over, plus there is not good straight section to put the clamp back over either. I think I could have made it work but it would have been real bad looking. I think I could have cut the whole section out from the AFV valve to the muffler inlet but I would still have trouble connecting without a straight section of pipe.
But I have another idea, I was thinking of getting a drill and drilling out the tit where this supposed ceramic pin that vibrates is supposedly located: So I feel like I could drill this enough and maybe crack the ceramic pin to where it would fall out. I could then epoxy over the hole. I feel like the valve should be well supported enough to where even if the ceramic pin is gone it is still strong enough to support itself? I know drilling right on the tit part is going to be hard maybe there is some better tool I could use? Anyone have any ideas? |
