Have you seen how high a C7 Z06 w/ Z07 package sits?

Have you seen the stupid bumpers that are needed for the supercars to get into the US? I was just watching a video that showed the Bugatti Chiron with the stupid rear bumper pods. 1 had them and 1 had them removed. They are very noticeable when installed. Plus most of those cars have factory suspension lifters for driving around town.

Maybe that is how they get away with it.

Subscribing to this thread. I'm genuinely interested in honest feedback after you've driven it for a few hundred miles. I've contemplated lowering mine since the first week I bought it...but if it significantly degrades the handling (as I fear it will), I can't bring myself to do it.

I did springs on my Audi TTRS which uses the magnetic ride and it didn't change anything, but that was a different case.

The after market springs for the TTRS were just stiffer to get rid of dive/squat and to get rid of the understeer. The springs didn't lower the car at all, but then again the TTRS had very little fender gap to begin with so it didn't need it.

That isn't the case here, so I think until there are some good performance driving reviews out there that prove it does not negatively affect the handling I will just sit on the sidelines.

I have the 1LE suspension now on my SS as the GM Engineers suggested and promoted to me, last year at PRI30 here in Indy and I'm very happy with it. I was sold knowing the lowering kit comes with new coils, struts and shocks. The GM Performance Lowering kit dropped me 7/8 of an inch on all four corners and I also added the GM Performance sways FE4 bars, lower control arms as well.
This is a great ride and to have everything GM which is tuned for the car makes it a win win for me. The ride is now even better than before and the stance is killer!

What kind of ground clearance do you have? I have some mean speed bumps heading into work and I haven’t considered lowing the car because of it.

I have huge speed humps in my neighbourhood which are no problem. As for speed bumps, the lowest part of the car has scrapped which is the rear section of my mbrp exhaust. Other than that there is a good amount clearance

I also did the Eibach Pro-kit springs on my 2015 SS.
1.0" front and 1.3" rear. Love them! I like making minor mods to up my game a bit without spending big bucks. A buddy used the BMR springs on his SS and the stance also looked good. I also just put on new P-Zeros and went to 275 front and 295 rear.

+ BV is one of the most attractive and suitable colors for the 6th Gen. Unfortunately they discontinued it...

I think you no longer feel the stiffness in sport because you havent reset your MRC to the new height specs. Remember the shock now thinks the suspension is being “compressed” so its expecting the rebound function which the MRC softened up so the car doesn’t bounce as violent.

Good point. Where do I go for this service?

Update:

After I lowered the car last Tuesday it just sat in the garage until today. I finally got a chance to put some miles on it. Approx 155km or 2 hours of screwing around.

On this little escapade, the roads where smooth, bumpy, dips, potholes, hills and of coarse winding. The consisted of in town roads with traffic, hwy and back country roads.

To make a long story short, these springs did not degrade the suspension imo. Bumps and dips are very well absorbed still. The car still handles great and stays flat around the corners as it did before in stock form. I can not speak to track and lap times at this point and probably won't ever be able to. The true "magic" of this suspension is in the shocks/struts I feel. Not so much in the springs. Not that they don't matter that is. I guess the best way to find out if you're gonna like it or not is do it and try it yourself. Everyone feels things differently when it comes to cars. Or if someone has a stock 1le in the GTA I'll be happy to oblige a test drive.

Again, I did it for this reason

Before

After
