Good STREET performance, maybe.

Unless you're talking about Carbotechs, which are claimed to be some sort of ceramic formulation (and the lower level XP track series pads that have really good bite while still having good cold performance on the street still generate a good bit of dust).

I won't have a review of CT's 1521/Bobcat street pads for a while, when I've accumulated enough miles with them on another car I just put them on.

I'll only be autoxing, I don't want a bunch of initial bite, nor do I need a bunch of heat handling... I want a very linear feel and I never treat brakes as an on off switch.

I've seen what less than 1000 miles has done to a coworkers SS wheels, and it's VERY dusty. Not a fan of that, at all.

Debating the same. The dark gray finish will help hide brake dust too...

OK, got it. From CT's descriptions, you don't want any of the XP's, which leaves the AX6 (autocross-intended) and 1521 (performance street).

Yeah, I probably won't be doing CT. Goes back many years, let's just cite 'personal reasons'.

I can't wait for a configurator to be available on chevy's site. I wonder if you'll be able to upgrade the knee pads from plastic slabs to something a little nicer, or the door sills to something other than a black plastic mold. If I could have a Camaro anyway I want it, it would be a 2SS with an eLSD and 1LE wheels, tires and brakes. I know that's not gonna happen unfortunately, but hopefully some of it will be able to be upgraded.

The knee pads are LPO items so you will be able to add those. The lighted door sills may be a different story but I'm not sure.

As mentioned, multiple LPO knee pad options. I will be getting the black suede ones. You can also get the disco lighting as a LPO...I will pass on that for sure though.

Must you call it disco lighting?

...It's far more akin to 'rave'...
(And for the record, I love it. )

Pardon my stupidness but what is LPO?

I want the disco lighting as well as the mirror ball hanging from the rear view

"Limited Promotional Option". The name is unimportant. What it means is that the item/part is installed at the dealership after delivery of the vehicle, not at the factory.

EDIT: And you're not stupid - that's the whole point of this forum, to learn!

True.

Often, on principle alone (I also prefer to do things myself); I let the dealer put stuff on, because they get paid by GM to do it, and then there's no warranty disputes...

Good points - LPO parts when custom ordered on vehicle already include an install fee.
