Introducing the 2017 Camaro 1LE: Welcome to 1LE-World!

No automatic, 1SS only....lol Yup I'm glad I ordered 2SS in auto!!

For me, just want it as a cruiser to drive daily & occasionally take it to the "drag strip".

But for the millions that love nascar type racing, 1LE is sweet!

They both look great. Glad I'm continuing to wait. I see really great things coming down the pike.

Another thing that should make it affordable for the V6 guys is that you don't have to get the RS package to get the HID headlights.

Clearly a troll or highly butt hurt? How does a 1LE have anything at all to do with nascar?

My guess is they had to eliminate the 2SS option due to pricing. Adding this 1LE package could have pushed the price well north of 50k, which might have had it competing with the Corvette, and GT350TP. Remember the marketing for this car is a budget friendly street/track car. I think they got it right figure 5k for the package and you should be able to get into it for 45-46k.

Now the performance 3-sec quicker than the 16 SS, this spells big trouble for not only the base GT350 but might knock off the GT350TP as well at shorter tracks. In regards to looks I'm still not sold on the 6th Gen overall but this looks sweet.

3 seconds faster?! damn. Everyone crying about the tire choice needs to realize that a lot of that 3 seconds is due to wider, better rubber. the re-damped suspension im sure helped but tires are going to play a huge part.

Sorry if I missed, but are the rims wider than SS?

I take it back...i guess it was the front that killed it for me...the green front fascia looks much better...now to add something to the hood...looks too plain as is...maybe a vent or some contour.

WOW! That's going to be a killer package. I guess it answers the questions about seeing PDR in the 6th Gen. Love the green, too.

SOme places are asking up to $48K for the 2016 1SS. And the MSRP is $36K for a base 1SS. With the 1LE option on the 2017 I would say the price will probably shoot up to around $40K or maybe more. Which will mean some dealerships will ask for around $50K. In any case I see this going for around $45K - $50K just like the 2SS. So it'll come down to whether you want all the options or more performance.

The V6 option is very interesting. I currently own a 5gen 1SS but after moving to Texas and my job being almost a hour from home I'm really considering buying either the turbo 4 or V6. Yes, I love the power from the V8 but honestly I rarely use it and filling up twice a week is starting to take a toll. It also seems everything in Texas is 45-1HR away haha. Very interesting and it's in the back of my mind in future about two years from now. I love a great handling car.

Its a "Track "Car. 1SS is perfect, no need for extra weight of leather and the other non essential stuff, plus no way I would want a sunroof on a track car.
