95 3.4l full exhaust system recommendations
Okay guys, I have searched this forum for hours and can't seem to get any good answers for what I am looking for, so I'll just start.
I have decided to start putting my money towards performance parts instead of just repairing my good old 3.4l. I have done a fair share of research and have decided to start with the basics of Intake and Exhaust but I'm not sure what brands to go with and really what to get. It seems that the only headers I have been able to find up to this point are Pacesetter ceramic coated ones with seem pretty legitimate, but this is where the loads of choices come in. I have no clue where to go after a set of those. I want something that has a very subtle but deep growl, I am not looking for the best possible performance setup, just something that will improve the breathing aspects of my engine without overdoing it. So if there is anybody that can help me pick out what kind of High Flow Cats are worth it and what cat-back systems would really be the best bang for the buck it would help me out a very large amount. Thanks in advance!

I have a Flowmaster 80series catback exhaust on my car. It was made for the z28 and I modified it. It is 2.5in out of the cat, then we welded a cupplet which was 2.5in inlet, to a 3in outlet, welded the 3in exhaust pipes to it, then the muffler has 3in inlet, 2.5in dual outlets. Sounds NASTY now. I have a vid of when I first put it on. Once its broken in, it sounds amazing!

I had a flowmaster cat back exhaust on my '95 3.4L. It sounded nice but it did drone. It bolted up very well. Unfortunately, at the time I didn't have many choices for the 3.4L.
I had an RKSport exhaust with Z28 tips before the Flowmaster, but it rusted out in about 2 years. I believe it was actually a Dynomax muffler. The pipes never really fit well at all either. |

Ant32894 – Thanks for posting your video! We never thought Your 3.4 has a nice idle.
We also sell a bolt-in Cat-Back specifically made for the 3.4L that could be installed without modification or adapters. It’s PN 17356 It’s rated as moderate sound and is easy to install. |
