50/50 premix is good for below -40...
I've only started it once that cold without the pan heaters, but regularly below -20 without being plugged in... No CEL, lol. But I also have a battery tender that's plugged in whenever the pan heaters are plugged in... Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk |

I doubt your car will see -40 without windchill. The recent polar vortex is with windchill and your fluids should be fine.

-40 happens at least once or twice a winter, usually. Sometimes for a day or two, sometimes for a week, lol. This year has been good.

OEM fluids are fine for this.... Though, I would recommend the 0w30 if you don't have pan heaters, or haven't installed a block heater.
Car also goes like snot, lol. But she definitely drinks more fuel on the go stick. Sent from my SM-G965W using Tapatalk |

My PVC hose was not snapped down on the front of the engine. Now my mileage is back to normal. Also had a very slight interment miss at cold start idle. |

I get 14MPG in my 1SS 1LE. I'm often in stop and go traffic in Austin. I can get higher if I get more time moving, but I never get there during the week.

I commute around the F.M. 620 area, or basically one of the most hellish roads in Austin. Stop and Go and I usually get between 16 and 18.

I assume you mean PCV hose. Did you get a CEL from this vacuum leak, or was the "miss" something you heard?
