@FH212. How early does the dealer let you do the first oil change?
Also, did you get the NPP exhaust system? If so, did you pull the fuse? I'm wondering if that still works without getting a CEL?

Not sure. I am not bringing it to the dealership. I bought the Mobil 1 0-40 Dexos and I will be getting it changed at a local speed shop Friday. I don’t want this car anywhere near a dealership unless it has warranty work. Yes all the 1LEs have NPP. I have not pulled the fuse on this one but I did on my 2017 and it never had any CELs? So not sure......

Thanks for getting back to me.

Apparently the way GM plans to purge defective springs is to keep using them for production and replace them as they fail, at the customers' inconvenience.

That's how they dealt with AFM lifters in the last decade, which were used in millions of cars and light trucks long after the defect was known.

21 1SS A10 built 9/22. Have 950 miles on it. Keeping it under 4000 rpm as directed for break in. All good so far. Knocks on wood.

Just got it back yesterday they said #7 cylinder spring broke. I thought they would replace all 16 but they only replaced 8 on the side of the broken one.,. Damn talk about cheap I told the dealer if the other side brakes you will get this car through your front window. How stupid can you be:

I believe the service bulletin says they ARE supposed to replace all of the springs on build date up to 9/15? Yours is close enough I would want all done. that's nuts.

That is the craziest thing I ever heard.

I would find another dealership and get the other side replaced.

Another C8 owner went BOOM at 1000 miles. I was hoping by 500 miles i won't have to worry anymore. I am at 430 miles now.
