I didn’t read all these answers but I’ve had it twice. Flush will NOT fix it. Only a tune or circle d converter will. The A8 is trash in anything other than full throttle acceleration

Mine started at 3k but I didn’t know what it was. Flush was done I think at 4-5k? Converter was done like a few weeks after that.
I hope mine doesn’t come back, I want to keep the car 10+ years! |

2016 SS, had the flush done twice, tc replaced once and shudder was back shortly after the replacement. I don't know the exact mileage for each fix without looking at the paperwork but I'm now at about 22k miles and tc was replaced at around 20k

What do you guys mean by shudder, laggy 1-2's or 2-3's? I've always chalked it up to just not pressing the gas pedal hard enough lol

Very weird! I'm at around 4200 miles on my car and I've noticed over the course of the past month or so, a shudder which felt like it was coming from the drivers rear. Ever so slight, I thought it was the road I as on as it came on and went so quick. I've experienced it several times now and it seems to have gotten just a little bit more noticeable. Getting ready to fly out to LA in a couple of days, so it'll have to wait until I get back next week to hit the dealership.

My 2016 2ss has been flushed 3 times and yesterday the dealership put a new torque converter in. No shudder yet but my steering wheel has a shitload of slop in it.
1st flush at 4k miles, 2nd flush at 6k miles 3rd at 12k miles new converter at 18k miles. The differential has also been flushed 3 times. |

ive been having something similar happen i think. i thought it was the road at first but now i think its the shudder. it only happens at certain speeds (normally around 50). i had it happen once yesterday at 40 for the first time. it also seems to be more likely to happen when its warmer. between this and the rear diff groan when cold my car is gonna need some time in the service department. im flying to orlando at the end of the week so its gonna have to wait a while. the problem is the shudder is not easily reproducible for me. it seems very random as to whether it happens or not. |

Called the dealership today and they said they’ve had a few in for the same issue and ended up replacing the torque converter. They said it could also be the rear differential and they’ve done a flush on that, but said when I get back from LA I came bring it in and they’d sort it out. They were clear it happens more often than not and typically won’t when they test drive it but they said they’ll take care of me. Just swapped dash cams and the car only has 4165 on the odometer.

2017 2SS. Had it. Had triple flush at 4500mi. No shudder anymore, up to 10500mi now.
Also had the diff groan. Tried the flush, didn't work. Got a new diff at 7500mi. No groan since.
