Looking for specific screw replacement

Hello, I am hoping that I am posting this to the correct thread.

I have a 2020 RS Camaro, I am looking to replace some machine threaded screws that are stripped and in need of being replaced.

These screws are for the striker plate on my door jam. They are a T-30 machine threaded screw, I haven't measured how long they are but if anybody knows where I can get some exact / OEM screws it would be great! Also I would post a picture but it is late, I could possibly post one tomorrow if needed.

Hello, it is another day. I took a few pictures.

Correction to my post: it is actually a Torx-T30
It looks to be about an inch long maybe

My interior door panel was popped out and was causing my door to stick shut when I was trying to get out of my car. It did this for several weeks until I fixed the interior door panel. I thought that it wasn't closing / opening right due to this door latch being slightly out of position, Turns out I stripped out the screws on my door latch assembly I am just trying to replace them now. My door is shutting and opening just fine now since me and my cousin fixed my interior door panel trim piece.

The reason why I want to fix them is because now since I adjusted the striker plate, now I have a weird body gap from my driver side door. It just looks a little bit out of place I just need to move the striker plate over to where It originally belongs.

I would just take the bolt to a good hardware store and get something that is as close a match.

Likely is metric. Not a bad idea to get one in stainless steel as these tend to corrode as they are just a cheap zink plated bolt.

In fact, I am thinking I may replace mine just for the hell of it.

Looks like the GM part number is 11518445. A quick search of eBay shows $11.65/bolt to be the cheapest price.

Bolt specs (in case you want to go to a hardware store):
M8X1.25X25 (Flat head, hex allen, countersink screw)

I'm amazed that you were able to find the part #, it seems to be Colorado/Malibu specific and does not indicate Camaro compatibility, but GM would likely reuse these across the board.

OP, there are online shops where this is cheaper, for example at gmpartsnow dot com, see below (although shipping may easily negate the price advantage).

You could try the slightly unethical route and remove the screw then go to the dealer. Tell them you're worried about this hole that is missing a bolt and see what they do lol
