I'm also in the same situation as you, my order was submitted Feb 20th and my dealer claims he has an allocation.
Hopefully we get up to 2000 status I would be delighted then I would assume things would start moving as long as the plant is back up.
I"ll be watching to see if/when you get to 2000 and beyond - Good luck! I'm still at 1100 as of today. My salesman said he is trying to figure out why it hasn't moved but is getting nothing from GM.

Well my dealer emailed me this morning and told me there is no chance on me getting me a 21 at this point, so he resubmitted my order for a 22 and gave me the order sheet from the gm order workbench with the order # and at 1100 status.
He said it's looking like the end of July for the start of 22 production.
The wait continues!

Maybe you will still get a 21!? I don't fully understand how gm does things 🤷🏻

Talked to my dealer yesterday. Gm is putting out one more allocation for 21s this Thursday. So I don’t know how your dealer already knows they can’t get you a 21 anymore. This new allocation has to be ordered by May 6th.

Honestly, it seems like the vast majority of dealers -- there are certainly exceptions/good ones including several on these forums -- have no interest in putting any work into anything that's not on the lot. I think the "I followed up with GM" comment is often just a line...

I have several dealers telling me GM won't let them put a '22 order in yet and they have no idea why other people are saying they have order numbers. This will be my 4th GM factory order (3 Camaros and a GMC) and consistently very few sales people even know what an allocation is and I have needed to talk to the person placing the orders directly (and once to that person's manager) to get a straight answer...

If the particular dealer doesn't sell a lot of camaros or doesn't receive a ton of allocation its easier for them to assume they won't receive any more, especially knowing that semi conductors are still tough to get.

I wonder 2021 production totals will end up at. Going to a low production year I bet.

I was able to order a black 2022 ZL1 convertible on April 8th.

I placed my order on February 9th, so would you assume that I should be good with still receiving a 2021?

Same exact thing I was told. I'm not sure why they would even tell you that at this point.

does anyone have an update on their order for those who are at 1100? my understanding is that GM was to issue additional allocations today. I haven't heard back from my dealer.

I cannot get a straight answer as to whether a '21 allocation is even possible for my order. I placed a deposit on 4-2.
In fact I was told that an order can't even be entered until "around mid July" when the '21 buildout is finished.
It doesn't seem right to me that a deposit was taken and I can't even get an answer as to when the order can even be entered.

I also gave a deposit, as of right now I feel that my saleswoman/dealer is trying to give me as much information as possible. I haven't heard from them today....

When originally being explained about the whole process of ordering, they did say step one is to give them a build sheet from the configurator, put a refundable deposit $500, and wait for an allocation. They also added they were certain they would get an allocation for 2021's as long as GM was able to restock on semiconductors, factories opened, and orders were being processed.

According to a OP's update- GM is giving out allocations, opening up factories later this spring/summer and we could still order 21's.

All very confusing and hard to follow....

Thanks - pretty much the same thing I did with the salesman and manager.
I hope it gets cleared up next week
