You need to make some changes in the tune. turn off afm and disable the TCC slip tables in the TCM. The problem is due to mainly tuning and partially the original fluid used. I thought I mentioned this already in one of your threads?
Not sure if you were referring to OP or me, but here is the link to what you may be referring to.

In my case, getting fueling sorted first, then TC and transmission tune. Id be doing your trans suggestions now if i didnt need it unlocked first. Want to get fuel and a follow up 1/4 mile run in beforw the track closes, then i can tear back into things.

Exactly one of the reasons I got rid of my 2019 Colorado Z71...That 8L45 trans/torque convertor are $hit...Felt like like I hit a brick wall one day it was so bad. Hope you can get the issue fixed resolved. Gm already has a multi state Class Action Lawsuit against them for the 8L45 & $hit converter.

In my very limited experience of two data points (one 8L45 and one 8L90), the 8L90 is clearly better, it has been since day 1 even before my shudder prevention measures. No clunky P-> R shift, no clunky initial 1->2 shift in the morning, no lurch on the 3->1 downshift when going uphill, which my 8L45 all exhibited to a varying extent.

Now that the 8L90 is tuned and the car has no AFM anymore, it's a perfect trans, only the handling of user input (paddles, stick) is slow, but I don't think that's the transmission's fault, the shifts themselves are quick and authoritative in sport/track with more throttle input, and buttery smooth in tour (aka grandma aka fuel "saver") mode.
