2020 ZL1 1LE A10 first 1/4 mile run

We drove the car down to Woodburn raceway in OR yesterday and I made my first run in the car on factory tires. I used the launch control set at 2400 rpm and slip at 8. Not sure I got up on the launch control quite right but I was super happy with the time for my first pass. Second pass I tried with traction control off, thats a no go!! Spun tires at least half track ran a 15 and still hit 121 mph!! We had to leave after that. Came home and ordered some wheels and drag radials!!

Here's the time slip I was in right lane, I haven't been to track in a while so my reaction time is Terrible but I was not really concerned just wanted a good hit.

I would say if that’s your first pass in the Z on street tires you did fantastic!
Well done

That’s a solid pass in a ZLE. Going with a drag set up will surely move that beast faster. You may hear a lot that the ZLE is too stiff for drag racing but with the proper wheel and tire selection I’m positive it’ll soften things up.

Keep us posted.

I got a set of mickey 305/45r17 drag radial r for it so well see how it does. I'm not disappointed at all with an 11.50!! And for the record it was absolutely was my first pass at track, I reall haven't even beat on it on steet much either just enough to figure out the line lock and launch control. Car is 100percent stock only thing we did was 5 gal of 109 unleaded to 3/4 tank of 92 oct.

A10 is the drag king, std ZL1 with softer suspension settings is probably a little quicker (better weight transfer)

Also it’s probably the worst time of the year to run a decent time as far as DA. I think your time and mph are really good. I’m sure in optimal conditions you’ll drop 2-3 tenths and pick 1-2 mph. Thanks for sharing.

Not sure what DA means but if your wondering about air temp it was about 65degrees when I made the first hit

Very respectable. Good job! That is not a bad 60 foot time at all for a first time out. Impressed!

DA is density altitude, it is a calculation of a couple different atmospheric measurements ... lower the DA = better the air = faster the run.

You can expect to run about the same times in similar DA...

reaction time doesn't affect your e.t....the clock starts when your car moves and breaks the starting beam.

Nice - about 30 degrees cooler than just about everywhere else, that helps

Damn! 65 degrees in July?! I’m in south Texas and it’s 95-100 here during the day. At night it’s about 75 degrees at the lowest with tons of humidity.
