Ran Sebring Friday with the DTC-70 front and back with titanium shims. Worked like a champ, less pressure required which took a bit to get use to... Still have life left in front rings, so the DBS rings will wait a few more events...

I assume he's using the PST series. The rear listing isn't very specific and only lists one PST rear pad set. I'm pretty sure rear brakes are the same on the standard SS and the 1LE.

Yes, Power Stop Track day pads are the PST pads as shown in post #1. I've used them. They're very inexpensive and work well, but are also very high dust to the point of your car is covered after one track session.

No big deal, I would just wash it after the HPDE is over. Ain't like we aren't used to brake dust with the stock Brembos. The price on those is crazy cheap. compared to Hawk and others.

Just bought a full set of DTC-70s, still wondering if I need to add shims or no, any thoughts ? using MOTUL RBF 600.
Also, is there any risks triggering ABS under heavy braking with the OEM tires and those Pads ?
18 ss 1LE

Cheers,
TM

i used the powerstop track day pads at the track 3 times in the last year and they do dust like crazy but had pretty good stopping power ...just recently upgraded to a zzp bbk kit on the front and im back on stock pads/rotors for now but they are more than enough for my driving

I went 2 years with 15k miles. Around 500 AutoX runs and 26 track days at Daytona, Sebring, The FIRM and PBIR.

I swapped mine for heat checking, not being worn or lipped.

Do you have any pics of the amount of heat checking?

Mine came with heat checks when I bought the car used but with stock brake pads they haven't gotten noticeably worse so far after 14 track days and they are still above minimum thickness. I have had a new set of rotors standing by since last year if the heat checks start looking longer or reaching the edges but haven't needed them yet.

That's the beauty of stock pads: they don't throw tons of heat. You can post a pic of yout rotors here, or just check they dont start to separate (so your nail catches), dont link up and most important: dont start runnung to the outside. Otherwise, i would not worry about them too much. Cheers!

Plus, you can buy them lightly used dirt cheap and kind of pre-burnished!

Lots of great info on this thread - thank you all for sharing!

Does anyone have experience with Pagid RSL29 on our cars? I ran DTC-60s at Watkins for 3 days and they're 85% done. Pagids are double the price but if they last more than a few track events would be worth it.

I used to run RS29s on previous cars and they were excellent but switched to PFC08 and never looked back. If anyone knows where I can get some 08s that'd be even better.
