Has anyone tried the AvalonKing Armor Shield IX? I have been thinking of giving that a go.

I have never tried it but it seems to get a lot of praise from reviews.

That's what I've seen as well, but I've also seen it pushed by sponsored YouTubers so I wasn't sure if I should trust what I've seen. Sounds like it's worth a shot.

I used ONR for years but recently I started to use P&S absolute and DIY Detail rinseless. the DIY one is by far the best in my eyes in terms of cleaning power, slickness and safe washing.

After that go ahead and polish away.

I was thinking of doing a strip-off-the-wax wash, but I guess a good rinseless wash would work too, before polishing. I'll have to wait for warmer weather to do a strip wash before the clay step though. Thanks!

if you want to polish it anyway. no need to worry about some strip wash. Polish will strip off any wax or sealant on the paint.
