Hi SoCal,

Thanks so much for answering all my questions. One last question regarding your Valve covers and relocation kit. I ended up going with the KaTech covers over the WeaponX for two reasons, one KaTech had theirs in stock and two you mentioned their relocation kit works with their Valve Covers.

However, when speaking with the KaTech sales dept, they mentioned that only factory coils fit their relocation kit... did you have any issue with the MSD Coil packs fitting onto their relocation kit? Seems to me if the coils are made to replace stock, and the relocation kit uses stock, then it shouldn't matter? Am I missing something here? Thanks again.

Can't go wrong with Katech, and im sure Weapon X's are awesome also. I can confirm that the MSD coils are a direct fit replacement. No issues at all. Dont forget the longer wires from Katech. Be sure to share your photos when done!

Yep, I got the wires from them as well. Instead of the MSD wires I went with their premium racing wires. I couldn't fine a relocation bracket listed to fit our cars, but the tech told me to order the LT Gen V "KAT-A7088 Coil Relocation Kit" which I did. I already have protector boots so I'll just be reusing those on the setup.

I'm also having a Mishimoto Aluminum Overflow tank & DSX Flex Fuel kit go in as well with this portion of my build. After this, it will likely sit in the garage until spring

I will absolutely share pics & dyno graph when completed. Thanks again for all your help.

SoCal.... LOL, I swear these are my last questions....

I received my valve covers, coils, relocation kit and plug wires. A couple questions.

1.) KaTech instructions state to cut off the harness tabs from the SuperCharger, did you do that? and did you have to do both and how?
2.) The relocation kit bracket, does it mount with the logo facing the Valve cover or way from the valve cover? Looks like it can mount either way?
3.) KaTech sent me the Longer wires to fit their relocation kit, but the ends on the wires are both at an angle, my current wires on mine are straight fit to the plugs and only angled on the coil side. Will these fit onto the plugs with an angled end on the plug side?

Thanks again and sorry for all the questions.

Hey buddy... no worries. Feedback below

1. Yes, i cut them off using my cordless grinder with an abrasive cut off wheel. Could also use a small reciprocating saw.
2. the logo would mount facing up. See attached photos.
3. My MSD cables were straight on the plug end and perhaps a 30 degree angle on the coil end. See attached.

Hope this helps.

A few sneak peak photos, of some new rubber that was just wrapped around my new Apex SM.10 wheels... I'll share some updated photos and driving impressions once they are mounted

Stay tuned!

Oh, and YES, those are 345's out back...

Might want to relocate the wiring harness in the driver side rear wheel well if you didn't already. I've read wider tires can wear through the liner and possibly damage the wires.

I could not agree more... Once you have a cammed V8, you will wish you did it years ago
