3-piece Spoiler Part Number

Hello all,

I am having issues getting the correct end pieces for my spoiler. I have gotten just about every color expect for satin black. I'm at the point where I just need to provide them with the correct part number beings they have no idea what car I actually purchased from them.

Your 1LE should have come with it - did it not?

Yeah mine came originally with 2 left pieces. This has been an 8 month ordeal (I bought the car on President's day). They then sent red ones (which I didn't even know they made), then claimed they were back ordered etc etc. I've been getting the run around from everyone. I got the general manager involved and he is who had these gloss black ones sent.

I was just on the Chevy accessories page the other day and I noticed they carry them in quite a few colors but I did not see satin ones. I'd be tempted to have them get me the whole thing in gloss black. Will probably hold up better toward UV damage...guessing they are painted.

They actually sent me the whole spoiler kit this time, not just the end pieces. I'd change the whole thing out, except the gloss black spoiler would not match the mirrors or the front splitter, which are the same color as the center piece of my spoiler pictured above.

23277750 is the number my catalog shows me with the vin applied for replacement spoiler end caps.

edit: that number supersedes to 84242704 and then to 84289253 .

The Part No. on the box in my trunk with the satin black ends is 84289253. The pieces themselves don’t have a Part No. on them - just a sticker with the production date. And the parts are painted separately from the spoiler, so you may not get an exact color/surface/texture match.

BTW, if you leave the ends off, your 1LE will be 2.3 mph faster on the top end.

Do dealers not install them usually? Would I be better off requesting I install these myself?

The dealer should do it as part of the PDI. Installation includes sanding the tops of the fenders, and using adhesive promoter and trim adhesive that doesn’t come with the spoiler ends. The instructions are included; this is not just a peel-and-stick installation with double-face foam tape.

I figured as much, thanks. Hopefully whoever does them on mine has some experience.
