Introduction and Request

Good Day All!

I’m shopping for a fun convertible, and the ZL1 seems like it’s the absolute king of price/performance ratio.

This weekend I test-drove a 2SS convertible, and loved it overall, but I had a mild discomfort in the front seat in the upper-thigh/lower-bum area. This car had less than 3000 miles, so it may just not have been broken in at all?

My request is, is there anyone in the eastern New Hampshire or southern Maine or Mass North Shore who might let me sit in their ZL1 Recaro to see if it’s a noticeable improvement in comfort?

Truthfully, I know I don’t NEED the ZL1, but these cars aren’t about what you need!

Can't help with a set test not close enough, but I'd also try for 1le cars as well if you just want to set in one.

Talk about clutch! This appears to have the Recaros?

If so, it’s in my back yard! Thanks for the heads-up! Would these be the same seats as in a 2019 ZL1?

Correct the 1le cars also have the recarro race seats. 1les just don't have the heated and cooled seats like a zl1. Just looked at that link that's not a 1le (they are all manuals). Not sure how ot got suede seats

They have a similar suspension though so thst would also be a good comparison

This looks like a 1SS with the Recaro front seats option, which means these will be the same as ZL1 seats in terms of dimensions and comfort, the only difference is that they don't have the heating + ventilation option activated.

Just got back from sneaking off to the dealership and sitting in that white 'vert. What a difference! Whatever was getting me on the 2SS is not there at all on the Recaro's. I'll freely admit that I've got Buns of Veal, but the Recaro seats are SO comfy! Ingress and egress didn't seem any worse than with the 2SS, so if the bolsters are more proud of the seat face, I didn't notice.

Thank you all for the help. Will be reaching out shortly to ask for help checking out a couple of remote cars, and then hopefully I'll be joining the fold!

That's weird, mine has the heated/ventilated recaros in it.

I have an SS and Zl1 the SS regular seats are more comfortable I guess but I've driven from Tejas to bowling green down to fla from there back to TX in my recaro's. I'm all 280 what's the problem?

Maybe watch this!
