To each there own. Rear and side badges are off except front grill SS emblem. I will have to tackle that one day. Anyone do that yet? Is it easy to get to or does leave a noticeable empty space when you take it off?
If its a clip that mounts onto the grill like on the 16 through 18s, then it'll look fine. I have it off on my 18 ss 1le and its just a mirror image of the other side of the grill now.

I did have to clean that little part of the girll though, since it had stains and water marks left from never being cleaned before and many miles of driving with the ss emblem on.

You could always do something like this. I agree it's pretty plain looking without an emblem. This is my favorite so far and I've only seen one other person do it. Just dremel out your old one, paint it, throw some sticky tape on it, and slap it back on. Simple and looks pretty custom.

So along this line of thought, I’ve been considering debadging mine, not a fan of the side red, white, blue emblem. Not liking the placement of the rear SS as well. So how hard is it to put the emblems back on if I don’t like it with them off?

Installing emblems/badges is as easy as an alcohol wipe and 3m double sided tape

I think that looks good. Nice creativity.

I think it looks okay. I, however, would remove all badging if I removed the bow tie.

I took little the Camaro symbols off the front fenders the day I brought the car home. My RS came with blacked out tail lights & bow ties. I eventually blacked out the side markers, rear reflectors and the RS emblems.

Use heat gun or hair dryer to loosen it up. Fishing line works well to pull it off.

Putting them back on is not hard. But recommend new ones.

Good opinions and ideas here

I am definitely removing the odd location SS on the rear and am happy to see the pic in the op with the bow tie gone.

The front fender ones are also in danger of going in a dumpster, cheapest part of the car from the minute I saw it,my opinion only of course.

can I ask a stupid question while here, are the mirrors and rear spoiler painted?

forgive me,I have not sat in the car, took it to storage from dealership and am not able to get near it until May

I love the billet SS look, I think with the blacked out look between the taillights and the proper colour SS badge it would have the retro look of my era

Had them remove the SS before delivery to dealer.

Only 420 miles on it (300 coming home from dealer) and cold roads. No jumping on it hard yet. Will find out soon.

Like this thread of removing things...instead of adding them.

I just recently bought my zl1 and it is de-badged. Does anyone have a rear bow tie they want to sell? I at least need that one and I don't want to spend the 100$ through gm.
