I knew that the dealer didn't know their stuff because they had the car wrongly listed on their website (had it as an LS). As long as I receive my remote start fobs today there won't be a problem.

Look in the trunk for the silver RPO decal. It has a bunch of 3 letter/digit codes. Look for MX0. That’s the RPO for A8 with remote start. Also look for BTV. Here is the build sheet on my ‘16 2SS with A8. Second page, upper left, MX0. First page, right column halfway down, BTV. Show the codes to the idiot salesman and tell him you want the correct FOBs!

You can get your build sheet by emailing socialmedia@gm.com with your VIN. You can get a window sticker (different format but has all the relevant stuff) for $8 at www.monroneylabels.com. Both will definitively tell you what options, etc, and the original MSRP of your car.

Thank you. The dealer is giving me such a run around at this point about the fobs and the car not having remote start. They are really starting to aggravate me to the point where I’m about to return the damn thing and get my trade AND money back and go somewhere else.
