Yes. Removal gives a more direct path to the air inlet duct. You’ll can get to it by removing the radiator cover. It’s held in place with three plastic push pins.

If you never drive in the rain or snow, it’s worth removing. You have to have almost a direct spray behind the head light for any water to get into the air box.

Sorry, I misread your comment. The blocker is in the upper grill slightly to the left of driver’s side headLight as you look at the front of the car.
