I've already posted in the appropriate section. Just curious if you guys have input. Here is the original link http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...80#post7067980. Thanks in advance.

I still it reading a temp? I hate to think it's the same thing but for reference, we had a 2007 torrent that would always throw the "engine hot ac off" code. We've changed everything temp sensor, thermostat, everything. The temp gauge would read fine then just drop to nothing. The only thing that would fix it would be to use my hand held scanner that came with my procharger kit. I would have to go in and clear the codes and the temp gauge would pop back up and everything would be fine. It would constantly do it have to do it sometimes twice a day other times I wouldn't have to do it for a couple weeks.

Did the CEL illuminate when you got the "A/C off due to high engine temp" message? If so, did you get a code P0216? Are you running an aftermarket thermostat, like a 160?

Had this happen on my 08 Caddy SRX Northstar. The temp gauge didn't come off cold, but said AC OFF DUE TO HIGH ENG TEMP. It was my thermostat. Easy fix. Good as new

Engine hot?
Verify the coolant temp and check the fans. I've seen the all weather connector burn up on one of the fans and cause a overheating problem. The sensor could be bad. Coolant could be low from a leaking heater core, I've seen that a few times. Just check the system and verify the temp, the problem will reveal itself.
