I just upgraded from a 2018 1LT V6 to a 2021 LT1. The remote start on my old car worked flawlessly but my new car has been nothing but trouble. It seems like 50% of the time when I try to start it the parking lights will flash but the car will not even attempt to start. If I hop in the car starts right up so I don't think its actually a starter issue especially as its under 200 miles still. Any tips guys?

Click the LOCK button on the FOB once, then push and hold the start button...

Remote start only works twice and then you need a manual start.

Interesting, the remote start function works for 10 mins then turns off.

Exactly.

You wouldn't want to remote start the car, possibly from the other side of the country or the world when you use the app, then have it churn through the gas tank if you get distracted and forget to turn it off. Heck, if you're out of luck, the battery gets depleted, too, with the AC blowing cold air for hours. Emissions aren't negligible either.
