Automotive Books

I'm going to be starting my auto hobby with the 2SS and was wondering what educational books are out there that would help me know enough about car parts that I could actually explain in detail how everything works. All I really care about is the Camaro 2SS though. This'll be my time killer for the next 10+ years, cleaning engines, replacing parts, maintenance, performance boosting. Right now I know that oil needs to be changed about every 3 months. Everything else about the car I know nothing about so I am starting from scratch in the truest sense.
Knowing the tips and tricks for maintenance and parts repair/replacement such as handy tools and all that would be great also.

A good place to start if you want to learn about the basics of cars is www.auto.howstuffworks.com. Find a topic that interests you and go from there.
