Now it is attached and becomes part of the hood structure and you can just use the drip tray underneath and no need for the extra aluminum cross pieces. I just fabricated a plate to mimic the bottom of the 2014 hood to attach everything.
What is 3m high bond tape?

Just the double sided stuff. Automotive grade. It was late and I couldn't recall the exact name. Mea culpa.

Just wanted to say thanks for this thread!

2015 SHO - Quick for a Dad/daily. (Subtly modded to keep the sleeper appeal. Lol)

Methods
Bi-metal jigsaw
7 foot ruler for guide and lines
aluminum cross bars for now, going tape after a little more trimming.
Tons of measuring, taping, trimming, (rinse and repeat)

Throw me a rev if you're in DFW and see me. Ain't another one like it.

Possible optical illusion warning. It's straight down to the centimeter.
Looks like it came out good. It may actually be a Sin though.

Thanks! Lol. I'm sure it is. However, I got a point and thumbs up from an SS driver today, so at least its a rescpetable sin. Up there with a 5 day Vegas binge including many questionable women and other potentially illegal substances.

Has anyone experienced any integrity issues with hood after installing the GM insert (long-term)?

I just did this as well but when trying to view pics of how it was mounted underneath all the damn pic links don't see to work. I have it cut and sitting in the hole just waiting to see some options on securing it to the hood. It looks like the mount studs sit further down and are not level with the hood.

Any of you guys have the general dimensions for this extractor/louvers??? Length, width height. I'm doing an LFX swap and have a 16" wide hole in my hood now and it may just do the trick.

Thanks!!!

Never mind. Saw it was about 12 x 22. Ordered it. The opening on my hood is right at 16" wide so this being around 12" will work good. The plan is to build sort of a cowl induction add on and I'll try to recess it like the '14 model year does.

We'll see......
