I would also like to know what became of that gen 5 they were working on for T-Tops... Last i saw of that thread they had already cut the tops out. Did the concept get ditched for some reason!?

You'd be surprised how often that actually happens. A couple of guys on the 4th gen board and one of the sellers back from when I was looking for a 4th gen did the same thing.

I would love to see the targa top as an available option on the Camaro!!

I believe the problem with putting T-Tops on a 5th Gen would be storage. On the 4th Gen you had a well under the back hatch where they could be stored vertically. We have a trunk now to there would need to be a way to store them with out laying one on top of another.....

Also the spare tire on a 4th gen was mounted in the side of the trunk. This would be a pain in the arse when trying to get to the battery or the spare/tire fill with the T's off.

I just think with the 5th gen design T-Tops would be way too much of a hassle.

You could have a padded "pouch" with a separator that they slip into with straps and clips that would attached to hooks mounted in the trunk.... weren't the 3rd gens like that??

I have a moon roof in my '06 Magnum. It's nice, but it is not the same thing as the T-tops I had in my '95 Camaro. I did have some problems with leaking where the top of the windshield, T-top, and window all came together...even with the seals properly positioned. They were a PITA to take off and put on, but IMO it was worth it.

I'd definitely like to see the t-tops offered again.

I've had T-Tops on my old IROC-Z... did not care for them. They were a bigger pain in the A than a benefit. Especially when they started leaking.

The Honda Del Sol had a similar system. It even allowed you to lift the top while stored to access the storage underneath.
