Reasonable Supercharger install cost?

A local shop I contacted quoted me the following for Magnuson:

Kit 7500
Labor 1200
Dyno time 450
3 day install

Does that sound like a fair price?

I can't wait to hear input on this. You live close to me.

When I priced previous cars, the highest I ever got was 1500. That was 1000 for labor and shops fees plus 500 to tune. It should only be about 6-8 hours to drop in a supercharger system. What is their hourly rate?

Previous thread on a procharger install had it priced at $1250 for install. JDP said it was good.
Just make sure the $1200 covers install and all shop supplies or any extras.

I paid $1,015 for my e-force to be installed. $1,200 isn't too terrible.

A slightly local (reputable) shop quoted me $10,000 for a Maggie install. Needless to say, my car won't be going to their shop.

That was total for the kit, install and tune.

Quick question these shops do they offer any kind of warranty or is it just install and you're on your own. I'm still heavily debating modding my SS up or just waiting for a used ZL1 in a couple years and modding that one up. One of my biggest concerns right now is dropping a SC in then having something pretty big mess up and have no warranty to cover expense.

I'm pretty sure magnuson offers a 3/36,000 warranty on the SC, 1/12,000 on electronics and 3/36,000 on powertrain. You can up it to 5/60,000 for an additional 500 I think

Mine was about a grand. Depends mainly on your local labor rate. Edelbrock states 11 hours for complete install.

Anyone that contracts John Hennessey to work on their car deserves what they get. HPE is a joke and he's faced many lawsuits for really shady work.

Better off paying the difference for Lingenfelter and knowing your car is safe.

My Procharger ($5,600) will be installed for $700, plus $100 for low noise on SC, $140 for dyne test run and upgraded NGK spark plugs. Also, a colder thermostat. Total is about $6,900 including tax.
