I went to lowes and did the same thing, your trunk is most likely flexing in the middle.

I took out my sub to move some stuff around and found out that the deck rattles with the factory rears too. For me it's the actual factory rear speakers rattling against the the metal hole they sit in. I took a bungee cord and pulled it tight between the two speakers and the rattle is gone now. I'm thinking the factory speakers have to come out, put some felt or something down then put them back in. Seems like a lot of work though so leaving it with the bungee for now!

Could you post up some pics of what it was that you did? I'm having the same problem when I'm listening to some Heavy Metal and Hip Hop stations and DAMN does it rattle. I was thinking of taking it to an audio shop to have some Dinomat installed to get rid of the problem but if it is something that I can take care of myself well then there about $75 of labor I can save.

I have my trunk dynomatted and i went to Home depot n purchased tha rubber weatherseal for $2. All you do is open the rubber weatherseal up n stick it to the bottom of the trunk of the car.
