While it may add a small amount of power, the "Wow" factor when you open the hood and show someone your car is worth every penny... (especially to the 99% non-car people out there) Everyone comments on it (as well as the red calipers)...

How often do you show your engine bay to the 99% of the non car people.

I would add the RF CAI even if I was not going to tune it. Butt dyno says it picks up a bit. Sounds great and looks even better. Does not hurt anything. Do it!

When I was up at Summit Racing in McDonough last September, I bought a Summit brand panel air filter for mine which was about $20 cheaper than the K&N one and it even looks the same. It was probably made by K&N for Summit and does the same as the more expensive K&N filter.

Below are a few dyno sheets and customer testimonials for our 2017+ ZL1 cold air intake. Our Camaro CAI systems have been dyno tested around the world with very impressive results!

Dyno comparison from Aikman Performance. Roto-fab CAI vs. Stock, testing performed on an otherwise stock ZL1, "no tune"
Gains: 23 RWHP 19 FT-LB TQ

Dyno comparison from Dedicated Motorsports. Roto-fab CAI vs. Stock, testing performed on an otherwise stock ZL1, "no tune"
Gains: 24 HP 14 FT-LB TQ

Customer Testimonials:

Dave
"I did an independent test Wednesday on the Rotofab intake on my 2017 ZL1 A10.
Stock was 555hp 536tq, changed intake
and made 2 more pulls. 580hp 548tq.
25hp gain. No tune or anything else."

Jeffery

"Couldn't be happier with the purchase of my RotoFab CAI. Easy installation and love the increased SC whine and the seemingly improved throttle responsiveness."

Thomas
'Do you want to actually hear the supercharger whine as it pulls in alot more air than that little factory air intake? This does the trick. Easy to install with excellent instructions. Fits great and seals to hood when closed."

Gilgamesh

"Much louder and more responsive."

Kermit ZL1
"Simply put:
Would I buy this product again? Absolutely
Would I recommend it? In a heart beat
Would I re-buy a carbon fiber version? Shut up and take my money!"

I'not sure what to think of the whole PCM relearning after the CAI install, thereby you don't get much of a power increase situation, but it IS encouraging to see that video above by RPM. If I recall, that was just the RF, and nothing else, and ran about 20-some-odd HP more than what a lot of people have gotten stock, so unless that car had the CAI installed the night or week before (which COULD be the case - I wouldn't know, because it wasn't stated), or the car had the battery disconnected before that pulls, then RF's claims seem to be pretty in-line with what people are getting.

I dont know. twenty ish horse claims with a stock MAF seems lofty to me. You would think that its alot of " re learning " for a MAF to do within its parameters and not throw a CEL ,but what hell do i know.....
