USB Port glitching

I have a genuine OEM charging cable for my Samsung phone and when I use either USB port inside the center console to attempt to charge my phone, it first says a couple hours to a full charge, then like 10 hrs, and then like 36 hours after a few disconnects. Then every 1-2 seconds, the phone stops charging and then picks up charging again immediately after, it does this endlessly. Any guesses on what's going on here? Is the wattage from the port just not high enough, or is the USB hub faulty? Only have had the car 6 months, was brand new. I could try a different cable, but it is a relatively new cable.

Does the cable do that when plugged into an AC adapter?

I have a friend who had that issue and sometimes it wouldn't get recognized onscreen for Android Auto. We both have Samsung phones - gave him one of my black cables purchased from Dollar Tree and it works. The cords are the standard-looking round ones and not the multi-color flat ones.

I have had usb port glitches since day 1. Some people on here have replaced the port. The new ports seem to be tighter.

I'd assume they used the new ones on MY '21 like I have?
