Arrow Brake Caliper Bolt p/n

Morning,

I cannot for the life of me verify the part number for the SS 1LE front brake caliper bolt.

This is the 6-piston Brembo setup.

Part number: __________ ??

Full 1LE suspension, with BMR adjustable sway bars and links, GM aluminum cradle bushings, Hurst shifter with lighter reverse spring, TWM shifter knob, Tick level 1 transmission. I should have bought a ZL1

Here’s another option from Screaming Chicken.
There non-TTY bolt an it’s a complete set.

Yes they are, as are alignment bolts too.

Brake caliper bolts ARE NOT one time use TTY. They are TTA or TA. Which means torque + angle. They can be cleaned and reused with Loctite per the service manual. I've done it many times.

First Pass: 150 N-m (111 lb ft)
Final Pass: 15-30 degrees

I love that I got two opposite answers to that question. I was at my local dealership this past weekend and they said that they reuse the caliper bolts as well. Not that that means much - not all dealership techs are superstars, but I would think they know the basics.

Easy enough to access the service manuals and get your own answers like I do.

Would be great if it were free, but needing to subscribe seems crazy in this age of information. Are there free options - open access to service manuals? I thought that was passed as legislation, but maybe that was just local...

I would think part of it is there's not a ton of TA spec'd fasteners out there. OE's usually go either straight torque or TTY, so people see that "+ x°" and the end of a spec and automatically assume it needs to be replaced. I bet other-party manuals may even get it wrong if they make that assumption, but Carguy is correct. Per GM's service manual brake caliper bolts do NOT need to be replaced, but the suspension alignment ones do after being tightened 2-3 times.

Funny thing about that part number for the front. It's a bit shorter and the head of it is a different size than my stock one. So I'm going to just use my stock with some loctite.
