Fender Badging

Preface - I haven't taken delivery yet, but my car is on order.

I'm thinking I would like to have the Camaro Script emblem on the fender, something like this... https://www.ecklers.com/camaro-fende...-366401-1.html

Assuming the factory emblems (2021) are stick on, what is the best way to remove those?

Also, if anyone one has any recommendations on specific vendors for said emblems, that would be great too.

Heat gun would be best, but if you don't have one, I always used strong fishing line. Being it's brand new, you may be able to just pull it off too.

I used dental floss and a hair dryer. Worked just fine

Thin gauge fishing line with medium heat from a heat gun or hair dryer moving back and forth about 10" away. Then use a short stroke sawing motion. Repeat as necessary with the heat source. Avoid prying with any kind of tool. If any adhesive residue remains, roll it off with your fingers and/or denatured alcohol or a citrus based product. Polish/wax final.

The blisters heal in about a week.

Floss works well too...make sure the surface is warm (not hot) and don't use a heat gun, use a hair dryer on low.

As mentioned before, a hair dryer or heat gun plus a fishing line works very well for removal. Once the emblem is off, carefully collect as much of the goop with your fingers as you can, then clean off the residue with Goo Gone and wipe the paint clean with 70%+ isopropyl alcohol.

As to the where to obtain these retro badges from, while I installed the GM heritage emblems (as you can see below), I've had much success in the past with the screaming chicken guys, here's a link to their retro collection: https://screamingchicken.com/1982-20...fender-emblems

Bought mine on Amazon, but the listing is no longer available. It's Eckler's 33-336397
Peel off liner with adhesive foam. I was concerned with the quality, buying without seeing it first, but it doesn't look cheap and I'm pleased with the polished finish.

Got the original ones off with dental floss and a hair dryer, GooGone, alcohol. Located the new one on the driver side, and made a relatively large paper template to duplicate the exact location on the passenger side.

I've gotten a lot of positive comments from people who appreciate the retro-ness.
