Can't disable stability control

For some reason my car won't allow me to disable the stability control. I am pressing down on the TC button, I see the TC light go on, but the stability-control-off icon does not come on. I've had no trouble with this before. The car is in Tr mode with cruise control off and car at stand still.

be patient...hold it down for 5-7 seconds...you get one light then the other

I've held it down for 30 seconds but it won't disable. I haven't had this problem before so I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong or if there's an issue with the computer.

Pretty sure it's 2 pushes of the T/C button. Just realized this is a ZL1, sorry. The 2 pushes works for the SS.

If you have have one or more TPMS not registering or have low pressure, traction control will not completely deactivate.

Are you in Sport or Track mode when you do this? I know it won't disable in Touring and Ice/Winter mode. I was getting frustrated once and realized that was my issue.

Not true. I have that scenario happening and I have never had an issue turning it all off.

I think this is a canadian version... mine can’t be disconnected also....

Second this. If the TPMS reads 15 psi or less, mine won't turn off SC either, or at least the disabled light won't come on.

If you put the car in Sport Mode, you can also double tap TC button to enter Competitive Mode, which all but turns off SC. For the longest time, I didn't think there was any SC in Comp Mode, but I finally got it to reduce power a tad one day with a massive drifting burnout, so it is still there, but you have to be on the edge of a spinout before it intervenes.

Is there any way around this issue with low tire pressures not allowing stability control to be turned off--if in fact low tire pressures are the issue? I run slicks with a 20 psi cold pressure, and I think this is the problem. I did three runs today, and for some reason it did allow me to turn of the SC before one of the runs but not the other two. I tried to d/c it both ways--by holding down the TC button and by pressing it twice after selecting Race mode. So frustrating!

I'm wondering if disabling the TPS sensors will fix this problem of the stability control not turning off when low tire pressures are sensed. Has anyone tried this?
