Lifter failure
So a pretty common thing happened and I’ve had a lifter fail on my ‘16 Camaro SS. I’m not trying to do a cam or dod delete at this point with the car. Now that we have that out of the way, upon speaking with an associate at summit racing, I was informed that I only needed to get 4 DOD lifters and that the other 12 were standard. Just was wondering if anyone knew which cylinders received DOD lifters before the rebuild starts. Thanks in advance

Only the most mild cams can use stock lifters. GM hot cam. Even there I would buy 16 LS7 lifters and lifter trays. Cam motion smallest cam you may get away with ls7 lifters. Any other cam you will need at least Johnston lifters and fitted pushrods. Think about $1500 for cam and kit. Unless you do hot cam and ls7 lifters for about $700

I appreciate the help and responses, but the car has 30k miles on it. I have the correct lifters ordered now. The cam swap will come in the future. Right now I’m just getting back to the basics.
