Yep, we own two ex-GM cars, a CTS and XT5. Previously had an Equinox that was. My SS is not.

My dad was 35 year GM and was at a level where he got a "company car". He could order whatever he liked, and could buy it (for a REALLY good deal) after he put miles on it. They only allow so many miles, or time, on them before they have to turn them in. Then they get inspected and some reconditioning if needed, then auctioned to GM dealers only via a private internal auction. Many are sold as CPO.

The key is looking at the CarFax. If it says "Corporate vehicle", "corporate fleet vehicle", "fleet vehicle", "fleet lease", or I've even seen "rental vehicle", AND, the initial registering location says "Warren Michigan", it's nearly 100% that the car is ex GM fleet. You're getting a known product in that the 1st owner wasn't some yahoo, it hasn't been modded, and it was inspected by GM itself before being allowed to be sold. I only look for these cars when I'm looking now.

Ended up flying up and grabbing her. No issues on the 8hr drive home or hard acceleration on the street but I keep getting the dreaded P0300 at track days

Got my 1le shipped from North Carolina to Florida and I used the same person who I shipped my z28 with from Il to Florida with. Pm me if you want the info. Not cheap if you want it shipped enclosed but to me it was worth it.
