Ported and Polished Supercharger worth it?
I've been looking into getting the snout and supercharger ported by KONG.....i have limited modifications currently (Mamo Throttle Body V2, Soler Prf TC, Borla S-Type Catback Exhaust) would it be worth the money to get that particular mod done? or could be money well spent elsewhere?

You're going to get a lot of mixed opinions on this but I can tell you that its worth about 30-40rwhp and its pretty cheap in my opinion, for $1275 its worth it to me. Some will tell you to save that money and put it towards a Maggie 2650R but you may not want to go that far and the way I look at it, you can always sell that ported blower later if you choose for the same amount of money you have in it and likely then some extra if the buyer doesn't have a blower at all.

Your current mods are what I plan in doing after the warranty is up in November. Im also planning on having kong port the blower (may do a 2.3 upper at the same time... debating between upper or lower). Anywho, I'm not trying to break and speed records with this car but id like just alittle more hp. So for me, and what I want to do, porting makes sense. If ur trying to break much past 800(fly)hp, its going to be tough on the stock blower and I'd save the $ and go another route.

If you're never going to upgrade your supercharger, I believe it's worth it. Count on another 30 - 40 hp with is ported and while it is off you might as well put an upper pulley on and when reinstalled have it all tuned. If it were me, I'd include putting on some long tubes at the same time so you only need one tune.

Totally depends on your goals. I plan on doing it. My goal is 700whp with bolt ons and ethanol, but without increasing heat. So I plan to still run the stock pulleys.

Thanks everyone for the inputs, keep it coming.....does anyone suggest going E85 first and than going pulley and ported blower? What is anyones idea on horsepower numbers with those mods?

If you have E85 readily available, then yes I suggest going that route first because that's the cheapest way to gain more power. You'll need a flex fuel sensor and tune, should get you somewhere around 620-630whp if I recall. You'll only be able to run E60 though so you'll need to keep up with your blend.

Let's say you have ten gallons of 91 with an E content of 10%. So, you add ten gallons of E-98 to the ten of E-10. Add the E content together which gives you E-108. Divide that by 2 and you get E-54. As long as you add equal parts gas and ethanol, this formula works. Also, you'll have your E content gauge to verify it.

How do I know how much “E” content the E85 that I’m getting has in it?
