Got this leather Jaguar strap off eBay for $12. Same installation as the fabric versions posted around here. Came with bolt attached which happens to be the same size (M6 I think)as the one which attaches the trunk latch to the trunk but the Jaguar bolt is longer which is a good thing. Works fine for me but I do have to make a bit of a point of getting a good grip on it before executing the downward yank. If I had to do it over again I’d set it up with the strap pointed up when the trunk is open with the trunk cover off. Doing that would have made the strap come through the cover an inch or so closer to the bottom of the trunk lid giving a little more leverage. I also drilled the two ends of the slot I made in the trunk cover hoping that might avoid eventual tearing of the trunk cover.
