Maybe, maybe not. If there is no Z, then we have to wait until 7th gen rumors start showing up and that doesn't sound like much fun.

SS 1LE is that car. There is no place in the line for another car. The ZL1 1LE was likely going to be branded a Z/28 until fan boy out cry scared them off of that name since they were going with the LT4 engine.

The part I find interesting is these grilles are popping up now, almost 1.5 years after the ZL1 1LE started testing.

Yea you need to make room for it next to the other Z/28's and ZL1 1LE

I would think that the Z/28 will probably start where the ZL1 1LE leaves off by using the same suspension setup and aero but with a new high powered na V8 and possibly carbon wheels/ brakes to also cut unpsrung weight to keep lap times close to the supercharged car or maybe it will even be faster. Anything is possible at this stage.

Fifth Gen Z28 came after the refresh, I wouldn't be surprised if same thing happens now.

IMO it will come with a 4 valve per and 2 cams per head, its the only way to take/keep the power up and still get close to the MPG needed, or they start an off site road course COPO program, we need a car that can pull to 8,000 RPM with out braking a sweat.

That would be what they're doing with the GT4.R.

I'm a GM guy to the bitter end, but it's the same old song with them every time- evolution V revolution. Vette engines put in to in Camaro's, been doin it for 50 years. The ZL1/1LE was easy for them, and it shows aesthetically IMO. Gonna be hard for the brass to OK any bold Z after the 5 debacle, especially with the big sales dog Zora on deck. Yes, they have made one every gen, anyone remember the fourth gen Z/28? All JMHO
