I should have bought a ZL1

Wouldn't it depend on whether the flush for the shudder has been done?
I know they're probably compatible since there's no way they can completely flush/clean the whole thing in the TSB, but isn't it better to have a higher ratio of the new fluid? I realize the TC is the usual issue with the shudder, and the OP is changing it, but probably not the best to swap the TC and just add the new type fluid without doing a full flush.
If I were doing this, I'd take it in and have the TSB done FIRST, then change the TC. The swap is going to void the warranty so better to get the TBS done before you swap and at least be sure it's got the latest fluid.

they flush 20 qts through the system that holds 12qts. they get it all out. the dealers not going to know he changed the tq because they are not going to look for that. id do the converter with the new fluid then get the tsb done. but then with the aftermarket converter he could probably use a high quality low viscosity ATF like Amsoil if he wanted. when i replied i wasnt thinking about the converter being aftermarket. its bad converters and epa tuning that causes the problem. the new fluid bandaids the bad converters and tune for awhile. did Circle D say anything about it or did they just give you the use oem in oem applications like tremec does.
