I do agree you are right not everyone can drive, last day at the track person with a Hellcat just fried the tires every time he was racing and times were just terrible. You would think that after a couple times he would try a different approach, to get better adjust not at all.

[QUOTE=BlaqWhole;10700662]Well as long as the Ford fans are happy then that is all that matters. To them, 11.3 out of 760 HP costing $94K is a reason to jump for joy. And they'll go back to driving their base model GTs and S197 GTs and be happy that a Mustang can finally beat a ZL1 at something.

I can bang out an 11.3 with my HCE 99 trans am with a lil 346 LS1

I did compare the factory times for both showing numbers that would indicate a .3 sec difference then the hero run for the 1320.

The Redeye vs ZL1 vs GT500 should be done at the strip stock for stock just to show what the cars can do in that environment, as the factory numbers are based on that.

I agree, and for drag racing purposes i think it more fair to use the Zl1 A10 vs 1LE they keep using in comparisons. Save the 1LE for road course comparisons.

I don't think the zl1's factory numbers are necessarily strip numbers but they should have ran them at a strip and the street, that way we could have all the data.

Agreed, especially on these auto cars. Just try a slightly different launch approach and go from there as the results change.

I've tried launch control on a buddies ZL1 A10, I haven't sat in a new GT500 yet but it seems like the ZL1 has a better launch system and without that delay when you let go of the pedal.

From what I've heard and read the gt500s is better and more advanced, though not European exotic good, does a good job slipping the clutch for the stock power level but the camaros doesn't have that lag upon brake pedal release. I haven't experienced an a10 zl1 but I know the m6's camaros launch control sucks.

I was just thinking of all the times the Camaro forum keeps talking about stock for stock.
Drag radial should be compared to drag radial and you know it.

A8 launch control is garbage too. No one on the fast list uses launch control on a Camaro, but the GT500s system looks good.

As a side note, IMO Chevy could have made it easier to access both the launch control and line loc features. My 18 Daytona 392 is only a couple clicks on the radio. Feels like I navigate for days on the Z to do it.
