The Mustang rebate IMO is unfair to current Camaro owners. Ford initially matched it on the Mustang, but dropped it after one month. Why doesn’t GM also match it with a loyalty rebate to current owners to reward them for being brand loyal. Especially now that incentives on these cars have decreased. Give us some incentive to trade up....

I was informed it doesn’t quite work like that. Needs to be a somewhat newer mustang, registered in your name for a minimum amount of time, etc, etc, etc...

The LT1 is the fastest NA Camaro and better looking than the SS IMO.

LOL you did not miss the test. see the below quote. Remove the front passenger and rear seat out of a current 1SS and see if the car is any faster.

Now take the seats out of the LT1/LT1

Digital house scale I would estimate it to be +/- .2 lbs

I had my heart set on the Challenger Scat Pack, but even with the current $10/hp rebate, its hard to find one in the color and with the options I want at a decent price. As far as the LT1, I like the fact it has the AS tires and doesn't have some of the SS options I wouldn't want, but I really wanted the leather seats in ceramic and the heated steering wheel at least. The ambient lighting would be nice too. I'm not sure what all you can get as options as the build site isn't up yet, but I think you can upgrade the stereo and get the Recaro's so it might be liveable. Plus the price is more in my budget and I see they just upped the conquest rebate to 2.5k for owning a mustang. I'm guessing that's just for the 19's, but even if its 2k for 20's that's pretty good. I may have to check out some more 19 SS's as I haven't driven the manual yet.
I agree almost completely. I think a nice LT1 with an SS spoiler, and black tires would also be a nice addition to the list.

For me I think a M6 LT1 with a Sunroof, Bose, and NPP would be perfect. Can you get the Bose in the LT1?

I would be okay without MRC, but how rough is the stock suspension? The MRC modes to me do not really do much. I have had 3 Camaros with it.

The rest of the stuff in the SS and 2SS is just fluff to me.

Right now I am in between Camaros. After owning 2 Camaro Gen 6es and three fifth gens the LT1 engine and the M6 is the sweet spot for me. Not too hot or cold with world class handling, low 12s at the strip, an all day cruiser with over 30 MPG on the highway as a bonus. Can any other car under $40K car beat that? Of course a Mustang comes close. But they do not have the driving feel of a gen 6 Camaro no matter how fast they are. I have driven lots of them too.

Loved that A10 ZL1, but having no fun car clarifies my thinking. Which is mainly I need to stop flushing $$ down the toilet.

The new LT1/LT1 will also serve to bring down the used SS prices. Next winter I will find the right used SS or LT1 and head towards my sunset with it.

Basically it looks the same as Chevrolet's 2019 RS V6 front end for the face- lift for the 2020 SS and LT1 which look's much better.
