Drove through a gd snow storm this morning. The car is covered in crap. Now its 50* and sunny.

New trailer tows fine, car loaded on great and Im able to open the door with plenty of clearance.

I am thinking about returning this 18' for a 15'. The extra 3 feet are all behind the car and dead space. I loaded the car up enough to level the trailer. The nose of the car is even with the front of the deck. I did not check the tongue weight but I feel its at a good point. The 15' would allow the car to be loaded the same way and not have an extra 3 feet hanging out in the wind.

Victor chevy covered the trans flush and filter under warranty. Service was amazing.

Talked to Mike at Frumusa Performance. I told him I’m not trying to break any records just a little more power and no longer in the red zone of the hard parts or fuel limits. He said he’ll go up to 15 psi and we’ll take it from there. I would think the additional power, converter and 2step are going to allow me to reach my goal of a 9 Street car.

This is what I’m talking about w the dead space on the trailer. I’m going to get a different drop hitch and try to move the car back a foot. Well see.

The car performed as expected. We went from 10psi up to 15psi ending the day with 800hp 860tq. Im very happy with the numbers and cant wait for this snow/rain/covid crap to go away so I can shoot for that 9 sec slip.

^^ thanks, its right where I wanted it to be.

Story time now. With the old setup it made 730 wheel at 10psi. This was sbe, 11:1 compression, factory fuel system, untouched heads at 10 psi on a lift style Dyno jet.

The current build is 10:1 forged rods and pistons, ported and polished heads, lt4 fuel system, circle d 3400 converter on 10 psi on a mobile dyno jet made 700.

So all those differences resulted in ~30 rwhp difference. I'm guessing the biggest factor for that comparison is the decrease in compression ratio. So keep that in mind when you guys buy some drop ins.

I updated my compressor map based of the new numbers.

At 10psi and 700hp, thats ~33 hp/psi.
At 15psi and 800hp, thats ~29 hp/psi.

If I get bored or my ego wants to get pushed... Reaching that 900 or even 1K hp seems to be a lofty goal. Id have to be >=20psi for 900 wheel and >=25psi for 1k. Which for my combo would put the torque above 1k wheel which even for forged rods is a lot of stress. The idea of pulling timing out until after max torque rpm would help keep things together but not sure if its even trying to do. Also Id have to go to E85 or MS109. I believe there is a lot of things that have to work together to make those big numbers.

One more thing, I asked Mike how the fuel system was doing. It's supporting my current power level but the low side did drop a little bit around that 3600 rpm. It flat lined after that. There is still plenty of high side and the injector pulse was great but something to keep in mind if i want more. I'd end up upgrading the intake pump to at least the zl1 pump and possibly upgrade the dsx 255 to something bigger.

Do you guys think itll crack a 9?

People have run 9s with less HP then 800RWHP. So if it hooks it should do it. GL!

You have more than enough power for your goal. Applying it will determine the outcome.

Have not seen driveline mentioned in this thread, do you still have the stock SS driveshaft and axles?
