T/C and CEL

My 22SS has 2800 miles on it and the T/C and CEL have been coming on along with the "reduced power" msg. I turn off the car which clears the T/C light and restart it. The CEL is still on of course so I cycle the car approx three times and the CEL goes out and all is good. This always happens in traffic and makes me wonder if there is an issue with the T/C or car is actually losing traction. The issue has occurred 3 times in the last 3 months. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated before I go to the dealer.
