other than that though the car is beautiful.. they did a great job.. when we first saw the leaks of the rear I didn't like it, but after seeing the whole car.. I changed my mind

Think Cadillac CUE of a few years ago. Universally panned. Even the new Cadillacs are getting buttons back, starting with the XT4 and showing up in the CT4/5.

So they could have but they would have been hammered for that too.

I'm actually not crazy about the looks. Corvette has a history of a long hood short deck. I like that. But...if chevy was at the max edge of performance with the front engine design then who am I to stand in the way of progress? Chevy stepped outside the box and took the next step. I give them credit for that and they still kept the V8 as mainstay engine. Just wonder how it would look with an aggressive graphics package like some stripes or something because I think we can all admit from the front and sides it doesn't really look like a Vette.

Tremec is making the DCT. I think it'll be fine.

Everyone is thinking this car is a bargain, but Chevy has adopted the sales model of the European cars already with the C7. Low base price, but ridiculous option prices, and good luck finding a base model for the first couple of years. You'll see more with $80K+ pricetags than $60K pricetags.
Have the prices for the options been released, or are you just guessing?

It really sounds like they are improving the Z51 package this time around, making it more akin to our 1LE packages (aka a proper TRACK PACK) than just a "handling pack", very good stuff so far can't wait to hear/see more!
Z51 doesn't include magride though.. so maybe not quite there.

Hard buttons are always quicker than infotainment based soft buttons. I recently rented a RAM 1500 Limited and it was annoying as hell to use that big beautiful screen for simple shit like heated or ventilated seats. It takes too long to get to some commonly used features.
