Gauges bug out intermittent problem
So a random issue I’m having I’d say every 5th time I start the car.
The gauges all flash...needles go to zero. I get the low fuel, power steering out, service rear axle, etc. non of these system go offline. Meaning they continue to work normal. Car doesn’t even go into limp mode. Full tank of gas etc. it’s just an indicating issue. They will flash and big out about every 3-5 seconds constantly. While driving or idling. Turn the car off and back on. Problem goes away..... for a few starts. Then returns.... any ideas???? |

Check battery voltage? Low voltage can cause all types of issues. Check your ground wire or maybe add a second.

Batt voltage is solid. Headlights do not flicker with the gauges either. Starter turns hard. Car starts on second turn every time.

Did you check it with a volt meter? I had a Vette that had similar issues. Started fine but had weird issues. Ended up being the battery. Just the slightest drop in voltage can cause issues. A good battery I think should be around 12.5 volts under no load, 11.9 volts could be a bad battery.
