Interesting. I run in CAM, so I have 305 square with 11" wheels. Interested to hear your feedback with your setup.

Same wheel sizes on an SS 1LE, but I'm trying the 305/315 combo. I'm hoping the stiff sidewalls and good steering response that people have written about will make the large fitment work. We shall see. I'll be very interested to get your thoughts once you drive on them, especially since your season in Austin will start before mine really does.

Thanks for the input. To clarify, my comment is only based on the comparison I've seen people post in various track and autox media. I haven't seen the 305's compared between RE71's and RT600's, but have against some other tires. The 315's I've seen compared a few places and they are large for their stated size.
To make the statement more accurate, the RT660 is looking to be either "as anticipated" in size or nearly one size up, but it depends on the specific size. |

I haven’t heard anything from people with cars as heavy as ours yet. Our season starts tomorrow and then the ProSolo next weekend. Fingers crossed.

I feel you... I'm on the edge of making a few clicks away on my 19" setup and I am considering the RT600's, but am curious how the 1. big-size tires do and 2. how the tires do on cars like ours. I really like the SC3, but if the RT660 seems promising to try... The new Kumho V730 should be very good, but something like 305/30R19 won't be available until into the summer... maybe. My concern is track/TT stuff and not so much autox.

Well, you could just go full insane (like I have) and have 3 sets of wheels/tires.
OEM SC3 (normal and occasional track) 19x11” 305/30 RT660s (AutoX only) Apex 19x11 and 19x12 305/325 SC3R (track only).

3 sets isn't insane, I currently have 4 and looking to get a 5th set.
Factory- highway/wet weather autocross tires forged 20's - stock size with SC3s for track days 19x10.5 - for practice days at autocross/burning off heat cycled out tires 19x11 - for autocross competition runs Wanting 18s so I can try the Yokos. If I like the 18s I'll get rid of a set of 19s, maybe.

What can I say, I just don't have enough space to have a bunch more, yet.

Event went off as planned. New site for us. Was a small, tight course due to a smaller location. These tires have GRIP. Good feel on the turn-in, I feel they have a stiff sidewall. My wife and I co-drove, so we got 10 runs in about 35 minutes. It was a relatively cool day for Central Florida (75F) and I never felt the tires got greasy. The only change I am planning to play with for the upcoming ProSolo is a little higher front pressures. I ran 32/30 and kept them there. I'm going to run 34/30 and see how that feels. The ProSolo is at the FIRM, which means it's AutoX on a racetrack. speeds in excess of 80MPH are common. As for results...I finished 1st in CAM (out of 4) and 20th overall (out of 105). The other two cars out there running 660s were a C63 AMG and a Model3 Performance. The C63 had 38/34, the Model3 39/34. Both those cars are over 4,000lbs. https://youtu.be/irrDE8Xrx6M

Strano and another fast guy went slower on them than G3s at VIR this weekend. First data point and not enough time to be really conclusive.
I'm betting they will be exactly like RE71Rs. Faster than the G3 at autocross and for 1 TT lap, but can't knock the Yok off the top step for either of those things. Pick your speed and wear per dollar that you can stomach and decide how badly you want to win...
